Jennifer Ophir
Jennifer Ophir is a wonderfully talented and gorgeously funny human being. In the early aughts, she left her high-profile career in store design and branding, and jumped head first into new adventures in the culinary world.
She is a first generation native New Yorker who says “coffee” not “cawfee”, brings light and calm wherever she goes, and marvels when nature shows us what a sensory gift food can be; it’s a language that needs no words. Jennifer is fluent in that language as she styles, cooks, plates and develops food and recipes.
A graduate of the French Culinary Institute (now absorbed by the Institute of Culinary Education), Jennifer won the award for Best Final Project. She worked on the line at Perry St, taught cooking in Tuscany, gave food tours across the city, and was a “secret shopper” for restaurants. Jennifer lives in Manhattan with her cat Chloe.
